Product Overview

The AirMax VS2 Backplane Connector System offers a high-performance migration path for data transmission speeds up to 20Gb/s per differential pair, ensuring system performance margin for typical 802.3ap standards. Leveraging design features from AirMax VS and VSe, these connectors provide enhanced signal integrity and mechanical attributes. The shieldless design, utilizing FCI technology with closely coupled differential pairs and no metallic plates, results in low loss and low crosstalk. AirMax VS2 connectors are mating-compatible with both AirMax VS and AirMax VSe connectors, requiring no changes to existing PCB footprints. This compatibility allows for cost savings by enabling the deployment of new and upgraded equipment alongside legacy daughter cards, line cards, or blades. Available in right-angle and vertical receptacles and headers, they support backplane, midplane, and coplanar applications. The system is designed for Communications (Switches, Routers, Access, Optical Transmission, Wireless Base Stations), Data (Servers, Switches, Storage), and Industrial & Instrumentation (Test & Measurement, Medical) markets.
