The Amphenol PCD EXCEL|MATE MSD (Manual Service Disconnect) series offers a safe and reliable solution for High Voltage Electric Vehicle (HEV) servicing. These disconnects are designed to open the High Voltage Interlock (HVIL) circuit prior to separating HV contacts, providing a tool-free method for disconnecting internal high voltage battery packs and protecting them from short circuits. All HV conductive contact surfaces on the receptacle assembly are finger-touch safe. The series is available in a scalable design with various fuse ratings and mounting options.
