The Millipacs 2mm Hard Metric Series - Right Angle Receptacle Connectors are a modular, board-to-board interconnection system designed in accordance with IEC 917, IEC61076-4-101, and Telcordia GR-1217-CORE standards. This popular backplane connector system offers cost-effectiveness, user flexibility, standardization, and broad availability. It is extensively used in chassis-based packaging for Communications, Data, Energy, Medical, and Industrial & Instrumentation segments. The series features right angle receptacles available in standard signal modules of 5 and 8 rows, supporting up to 125 signal contacts (5 rows) or 200 signal contacts (8 rows) per 50mm length. Hybrid modules are also available, incorporating signal pins, power, and coax contacts. These receptacles mate with vertical and right angle headers, providing adequate spacing for PCB trace routing, optimizing board layers, and reducing real estate compared to 2.54mm pitch connectors. They offer features like a 2-beam tulip contact for reliability, easy guiding, visual identification, and stamped contacts for accurate true position and improved creepage distance. Hybrid connectors enable versatile circuit design with data rates up to 3Gb/s, and optional shielding is available.
