The Amphenol OverPass Mini Cool Edge IO solution is a next-generation high-speed interconnect designed for demanding applications up to 56G PAM4/PCIe Gen 4/PCIe Gen 5. Featuring a 0.60mm pitch and a slim form factor, this connector offers superior signal integrity performance over conventional PCB routing, enabling longer signal path lengths. It provides a cost-effective, highly modular, scalable, and easily repairable system design. The Mini Cool Edge IO supports both cable and card edge applications with a single connector, offering flexibility for system designers. It is suitable for target markets including baseband commercial systems, networking, radio units, high-end computing systems, and server and storage systems. Applications include chip to external IO flyover, miplane to MB flyover, chip to chip flyover, backplane to MB, and backplane to add-in card flyover cable solutions.
