Amphenol Miniature Cylindrical Connectors, specifically the PT, SP, and MS/PT Series (MIL-DTL-26482, Series 1), offer a compact solution with twice the number of contacts in half the size of standard connectors. These connectors are designed for general duty and environmental applications, suitable for industrial, military, and aerospace markets including instrumentation, monitoring equipment, machine tool automation, communications, geophysical exploration, industrial controls, robotics, rail/mass transit, and aerospace. Key features include environmental sealing via grommet and clamp design, an operating temperature range of 55C to +125C, and operating voltages up to 1000 VAC (RMS) at sea level. Contacts are machined from gold-plated copper alloy for corrosion resistance and indefinite shelf life. The connectors utilize resilient inserts for high dielectric strength and moisture barrier, with various shell finishes and back-end accessories available. They are available in bayonet coupling styles with either solder or crimp contact termination.
