Product Overview

The Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) Lumire fiber optic terminus is designed for commercial airframe, avionics, and aerospace applications. As a direct replacement for EN4531 termini, it offers compatibility with existing EN4531 (or ELIO) connectors. This hermaphroditic terminus features a field-proven 2.5mm diameter ST type ceramic ferrule, allowing for the use of the same contact in both receptacle and plug configurations. Available in multi-mode and single-mode versions, the Lumire supports PC, UPC, or APC polishes with an anti-rotation feature. Its ST type ferrule ensures that well-known termination tools and procedures can be utilized. Long and short boot options are available to accommodate various connector types, and a pull-proof option is provided for applications without strain relief. The Lumire is designed to support both tight and loose structure cables, and AFSI also manufactures a full range of EN 4531 circular and rectangular connectors to house these termini.
