Product Overview

The Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) Lumire fiber optic terminus is engineered for demanding commercial airframe, avionics, and aerospace applications. As a direct replacement for EN4531 termini, it offers seamless compatibility with existing EN4531 (or ELIO) connectors. This hermaphroditic fiber optic contact features a field-proven 2.5mm diameter ST type ceramic ferrule, simplifying termination with well-known procedures and tools. Available in both multi-mode and single-mode versions, the Lumire terminus supports PC, UPC, or APC polishes with an integrated anti-rotation feature. It is designed to accommodate multiple connector types with available long and short boot options and can support both tight and loose structure cables. An optional pull-proof feature allows for terminus use without strain relief in connectors. AFSI also provides a comprehensive range of EN 4531 circular and rectangular connectors to house the Lumire termini.
