The Amphenol Mini-SAS High Density (HD) connector system represents the next generation of SAS connectivity, engineered to deliver enhanced data rates and increased bandwidth. This system offers double the port density of current Mini-SAS connectors, with available 1x1 (4x), 1x2 (8x), and 1x4 (16x) port configurations. The Mini-SAS HD connector system features a two-row, right-angle design, supporting 12Gbps per channel for a total bandwidth of up to 48Gbps per port (4 lanes). It is designed for applications in industrial, server, networking, telecom, storage, and test environments. Key features include SFF-8643 compliance, SAS 3.0 (12Gbps) electrical performance, a 0.75mm pitch connector system for improved signal integrity and minimized crosstalk, elimination of mechanical keying, and pinouts that map easily with existing Mini SAS products. The press-fit pin design ensures a one-step placement onto the PCB.
