Product Overview
The Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) Lumire fiber optic terminus is engineered for demanding commercial airframe, avionics, and aerospace applications. Designed as a direct replacement for EN4531 termini, it offers seamless compatibility with existing EN4531 (or ELIO) connectors. This hermaphroditic contact features a field-proven 2.5mm diameter ST type ceramic ferrule, simplifying termination with well-known procedures and tools. Available in both multi-mode and single-mode versions, the Lumire terminus supports PC, UPC, and APC polishes with an anti-rotation feature. It is compatible with tight and loose structure cables and offers long and short boot options to accommodate various connector types. An optional pull-proof feature is available for applications without strain relief. AFSI also provides a comprehensive range of EN 4531 circular and rectangular connectors to house the Lumire termini.
