Product Overview
The Amphenol-CS SAS/PCIe 5.0 (U.2 or U.3) connectors are engineered for next-generation servers, delivering high-speed performance with 32GT/s for PCIe lanes and 24Gb/s for SAS lanes. These 68-position connectors, available as receptacles and headers, facilitate the implementation of high-speed Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Hard Disk Drive (HDD) interfaces and Peripheral Component Express (PCIe)-based devices. Featuring molded guide posts for self-alignment during mating and constructed from halogen-free high-temperature thermoplastic, these connectors are designed for durability and reliability in diverse conditions, offering up to 500 mating cycles. They are compatible with SFF8639 specifications and backward compatible with previous SAS generations (12G, 6G, 3G), providing flexibility for both cost-effective HDDs and high-performance SSDs. The staggered contact lengths ensure sequential mating for hot-plugging, while stamped retainer clips offer robust PCB attachment.
