The Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) Lumire fiber optic terminus is designed for commercial airframe, avionics, and aerospace applications. It serves as a direct replacement for EN4531 termini and is compatible with existing EN4531 (or ELIO) connectors. This hermaphroditic fiber optic contact features a field-proven 2.5mm diameter ST type ceramic ferrule, enabling the use of the same contact in both receptacle and plug configurations. Available in multi-mode and single-mode versions, the Lumire terminus supports PC, UPC, or APC polishes with its anti-rotation feature. Its ST type ferrule allows for the use of standard termination tools and procedures. Long and short boot options are available to accommodate various connector types, and the terminus can be used in connectors without strain relief due to its pull-proof option. AFSI also offers a comprehensive range of EN 4531 circular and rectangular connectors to house the Lumire termini.
