The Amphenol High Speed Mini-SAS HD receptacle is the next generation SAS system, designed to meet SAS 2.1 and SAS-3 standards for enhanced data transmission and bandwidth. This low-profile system offers 4X and 8X cable-plug options, with external I/O connectors providing eight sideband signals per 4X port and a 1x4 configuration for up to 192 Gbps of total bandwidth. Mini-SAS HD connectors feature a 2-row, right-angle design with data rates reaching 12 Gbps per channel, capable of up to 24 Gbps per channel and meeting SAS-4 and PCIe Gen4/5 requirements. Its increased density and reduced size compared to Mini-SAS 2.0 optimize space utilization. Common applications include RAID, routers/switches, blade servers, workstations, patch panels, servers, rack-mount servers, routers, and storage racks.
