The Amphenol ePower Connector Series is engineered for the demanding electrical system requirements of hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as utility trucks. Operating at high voltages (800VDC to 1000VDC) and continuous current ratings (200A to 400A), this series incorporates the patented RADSOK technology. This innovation offers significant advantages including higher amperage capacity, reduced T-rise, lower resistance, and improved mating force. The ePower connectors provide a 40% smaller footprint compared to conventional solutions like three EMI shielding cable glands, simplifying termination with shielded cables. Available in 2 or 3 power contact configurations, a single ePower 400A connector can effectively replace three standard connectors, leading to substantial space and cost savings. Applications span both Military Aerospace and Industrial segments, including power converters, hybrid electric vehicles, heavy equipment electrification, two and three-phase motors, and starter generators.
