The AirMax VS2 Backplane Connector System offers a high-performance migration path up to 20Gb/s per differential pair, building upon the established design features of AirMax VS and VSe connectors. This shieldless design, utilizing closely coupled differential pairs and FCI technology, ensures improved signal integrity with low loss and low crosstalk. It is mating-compatible with both AirMax VS and AirMax VSe connectors, requiring no changes to existing PCB footprints. This compatibility facilitates cost savings and allows for the integration of legacy and future higher-speed module cards within the same backplane or chassis. Available in right-angle and vertical receptacles and headers, the AirMax VS2 system supports backplane, midplane, and coplanar applications.
