The AirMax VS2 Backplane Connector System offers a high-performance migration path to 20Gb/s per differential pair, building upon the established design features of AirMax VS and VSe connectors. This shieldless design, utilizing closely coupled differential pairs, minimizes signal loss and crosstalk. It is mating-compatible with AirMax VS and AirMax VSe connectors, requiring no changes to existing PCB footprints, thereby enabling cost savings and facilitating the integration of legacy and next-generation equipment. Available in right-angle and vertical receptacles and headers, the system supports backplane, midplane, and coplanar applications. Key benefits include improved signal integrity, mechanical attributes, and a cost-effective solution for higher performance in the same form factor. The connectors are qualified to Telcordia GR-1217-CORE Central Office standards and are UL approved.
