The Amphenol High Speed Interconnects Mini-SAS HD is the next generation SAS system, designed to meet SAS 2.1 and SAS-3 standards for enhanced data transmission speeds and increased density. This low-profile system offers 4X and 8X cable-plug options, with external I/O connectors providing eight sideband signals per 4X port and a 1x4 configuration for up to 192 Gbps of total bandwidth. Compared to Mini-SAS 2.0, the Mini-SAS HD offers increased density and reduced size, saving valuable space while maintaining compliance. The connector system features a 2-row, right-angle configuration with data rates reaching up to 12 Gbps per channel, with capabilities for up to 24 Gbps per channel, meeting SAS-4 and PCIe Gen4/5 standards.
