Product Overview

Amphenol ICC's SAS/PCIe 4.0 (U.2 & U.3) connectors are engineered for next-generation servers, offering high-speed data transfer at 16GT/s for PCIe lanes and 24Gb/s for SAS lanes. These 68-position receptacles and headers support both Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drive interfaces and Peripheral Component Express (PCIe)-based devices. Featuring molded guide posts for self-alignment during mating, these connectors are constructed from halogen-free, high-temperature thermoplastic, ensuring durability in diverse conditions with a rating of 500 mating cycles. They are designed for compatibility with SFF8639 specifications and offer backward compatibility with previous SAS generations (12G, 6G, 3G) and SATA drives, making them suitable for a wide range of storage applications from cost-effective HDDs to high-performance SSDs. Applications include processor and storage blades, mezzanine cards, HDD carriers, external storage systems, interposer cards, and servers.
