Product Overview

Amphenol ICC's SAS/PCIe 4.0 (U.2 & U.3) connectors are engineered for high-speed multi-protocol applications, supporting 16GT/s for PCIe lanes and 24Gb/s for SAS lanes. These 68-position receptacle and header connectors facilitate the implementation of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drive (HDD) interfaces and Peripheral Component Express (PCIe)-based devices. Designed with molded guide posts for self-alignment during mating, and constructed from halogen-free high-temperature thermoplastic, these connectors offer durability of 500 mating cycles and are built to withstand diverse environmental conditions. They are compatible with SFF-8639 specifications and provide backward compatibility with older SAS and SATA connectors, enabling flexible component selection for cost-effective storage or high-performance server SSDs. Applications include processor and storage blades, mezzanine cards, HDD carriers, external storage systems, interposer cards, and server storage.
