Product Overview
Amphenol's Mini-SAS High Density (HD) connector system is the next generation SAS system designed to provide faster data rates and increased bandwidth. It offers double the port density of current Mini-SAS connectors with 1X1 (4x), 1X2 (8x), and 1X4 (16x) port options. The Mini-SAS HD connector system features a two-row, right-angle connector capable of 12Gbps data rate per channel. Each connector (port) handles 4 lanes of data, delivering up to 48Gbps of total bandwidth. Key features include SFF-8643 compliance, SAS 3.0 (12Gbps) electrical performance, a 0.75mm pitch connector system for improved signal integrity and minimized cross-talk, elimination of the need for a mechanical key, and pinouts that map easily with existing Mini SAS products. The press-fit pin design allows for one-step placement onto the PCB. This system is suitable for Industrial, Server, Networking, Telecom, Storage, and Test applications.
