The Amphenol USBF TV is a robust USB 2.0 connection system designed for harsh environments. It allows a standard USB 2.0 cordset to be inserted into a metallic plug, providing protection against shocks, dust, and fluids. Key advantages include no hazardous field cabling or grounding, improved EMI protection, and a secure Tri-Start Thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-38999 series III type) with an anti-decoupling device for high vibrations. The system offers 2 mechanical coding/polarization possibilities, plug retention of 100 N, and a mating cycle rating of 500 to 1500 cycles. Applications include embedded computers, data acquisition and transmission in harsh environments, railways, battlefield communication systems, and navy systems.
