Product Overview
The Amphenol ePower Connector Series is engineered for the demanding electrical systems of hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as utility trucks. These connectors operate at high voltages (800VDC to 1000VDC) and continuous currents (200A to 400A), incorporating the patented RADSOK technology. This innovation offers significant advantages including higher amperage, lower temperature rise (T-rise), reduced resistance, and lower mating force. The ePower series provides a 40% smaller footprint compared to three EMI shielding cable glands and simplifies termination with shielded cable. Available in 2 or 3 power contacts, a single ePower 400A connector can replace multiple conventional connectors, leading to space and cost savings. Applications span Military Aerospace and Industrial segments, including power converters, hybrid electric vehicles, heavy equipment electrification, two and three-phase motors, and starter generators.
