Product Overview

The Amphenol Socapex MDP FTV is a complete ruggedized solution for Mini DisplayPort connections in harsh environments. It utilizes a Tri-Start Thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-38999 series III type) to ensure secure mating between plug and receptacle components. This system allows for the insertion of a standard Mini DP cordset into a metallic plug, offering protection against shocks, dust, and fluids. The assembly of the ruggedized plug is tool-free and can be performed in the field. The MDP FTV receptacle is designed for panel mounting, enhancing system protection against leakage, shocks, and vibrations. It supports Display 1.4 protocol with a transmission bandwidth of 32.4 Gbit/s, capable of handling 8K UHD at 60 Hz or 4K UHD at 120 Hz. Applications include data acquisition and transmission in demanding environments such as C4ISR, battlefields, ground vehicles, navy, and railway systems, as well as radars, shelters, and battlefield communication.
