MAG-MATE* Series 300 Terminals
The MAG-MATE* Series 300 Terminals are insulation displacement terminals designed for application in housings with a terminal cavity depth of approximately 7.62 mm [.300 inch]. These terminals feature wire slot beams and are engineered to accept a range of wire sizes, including 34 through 17 AWG solid, round copper magnet wire and 28 through 17 AWG solid, round aluminum magnet wire. Available in both wide (3.05 mm [.120 in.] maximum) and narrow width (1.78 mm [.070 in.] maximum) configurations, some terminals are designed for single-wire applications, while others accommodate two wires of the same material and size. Each terminal includes a front and back slot for wire insertion and four locking barbs for secure retention within the housing. Various terminal interfaces are offered, including Lead Wire Poke-In, Solder Tine, Wire Crimp Barrel, and FASTON* Tabs in several standard sizes. A special varnish-resistant coating is available for terminals exposed to varnishing processes, preventing adhesion of polyester-type varnishes to contact surfaces. These terminals are recognized in the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) Component Recognition Program.
