ITT has implemented a strict parts control plan to ensure Cannon, VEAM, and BIW Connector Systems product portfolios meet the requirements of the European Union Directive 2002/95/EC (Reduction of Hazardous Substances). RoHS compliant parts are available with an 'R' prefix number. For RoHS compliance, ITT products are available in the following plating finishes: electroless nickel, stainless steel, anodize over aluminum, and gold plating. Gold plating is recommended as a replacement for tin-lead solder for board mount connectors.
