They manufacture flexible, semi-rigid, and Sealflex 2 RF and microwave coaxial cable assemblies from DC to 40 GHz to complex customer designs and exacting tolerances, using MIL-C-17G cables and Sealflex 2 low loss microwave cable. Computerized semi-rigid cable forming and Vector Network Analyzer test equipment ensure high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
75 Ohm Connectors
Cannon also offers a selection of 75 Ohm connectors for telecom applications, including Type 43 (SMZ), 1.0/2.3, 1.6/5.6, and BNC ranges. These incorporate CoSMID surface mountable modular technology and patented QT quick termination designs, allowing for more coax lines on a card edge and eliminating crimping or soldering for center conductor termination.
CoSMIDTM Connectors
CoSMIDTM (Coax Surface Mount MID) 75 ohm connectors utilize molded interconnect device technology for selective metallization of 3D plastic shapes. This allows for the integration of two, three, or four coaxial connector lines into a single surface mountable module, enabling designers to incorporate more coax lines on a card edge.
QT - Quick Termination Connectors
QT connectors feature a pre-assembled QT contact that eliminates the need for crimping or soldering onto the center conductor. Termination is achieved by activating the patented QT mechanism with a provided plastic tool in four simple steps: strip cable, assemble connector, press insulator, and crimp ferrule. The QT principle can also be applied to 50 Ohm products.
