Introduction
NRD Connector: Disconnectable Insulation Displacement Connector
The NRD connector is a 2.5mm pitch insulation displacement connector, an evolution of the NR connector designed for printed circuit boards. It facilitates daisy chaining, simplifying connection systems in electronic equipment by allowing multiple signals to be bussed across different PCBs. The connector features a reliable insulation displacement construction, utilizing contacts identical to the proven NR connector. For enhanced durability, two strain relief sections are integrated into the housing to absorb vibration, bending forces, and other external stresses, protecting the insulation displacement section. The header is designed for interchangeability with XH (crimp style), NR (IDC style), and JQ (board-to-board style) connectors.
