Product Overview
The ELCON Drawer Series Connectors are True Hot Plug, Blind Mating Mixed Signal and Power Connectors designed for pluggable wire-to-board applications in power supplies. Available in custom configurations, these connectors feature pin and socket sides with marked cavities for circuit identification. High power connectors can include pre-installed guide pins, while mid and low power versions have molded-in guide posts for positive mating. Molded-in pin protectors and chamfered edges on guide pin holes and guide post cavities ensure ease of mating and contact protection. Designed for float-mount and fixed-mount applications, they allow for blind mating with misalignment. Standoffs facilitate printed circuit board cleaning after soldering. Contacts accept wire sizes 24 through 1/0 AWG and are available in various types including crimp, solder, and hot plug with specific current interruption capabilities. Pin contacts (except size 0 and 4) offer standard, pre-mate, and post-mate lengths for flexible sequencing. The contacts incorporate an active element (crown band) for maximum surface contact, even insertion/withdrawal forces, and shock/vibration resistance. Loose piece contacts are available, with only crimp type and threaded contacts being removable.
