The 3M Scotchlok Tap Connector 804 is designed for electrically connecting a tap wire end to a through (run) wire, providing insulation and a moisture-resistant seal. It is suitable for a wire range of 18-16 AWG (0.75-1.0 mm) solid and stranded, and 14 AWG (1.5 mm) stranded, tinned or untinned copper insulated conductors. This connector is ideal for common thermoplastic insulated wires with a maximum insulation diameter of .145 inches (3.5 mm) and is rated for general purpose applications up to 600 volts.
