Product Overview

The SBE 80 / SBO 60 series connectors are high-capacity power connectors designed for demanding applications, offering up to 80 Amps for primary power and auxiliary contacts for signal or control circuits. Building on the capability of two-pole SB connectors, these feature IEC 60950 touch-safe housings, minimizing contact with live circuits. They support up to 8 auxiliary contacts, enabling intelligent power switching, CAN bus, and interlock loop circuitry, with individual poles rated up to 20 amps. Silver-plated primary power wire contacts ensure durability for up to 10,000 mating cycles. These connectors meet EN1175:2020 requirements for industrial trucks and are suitable for applications requiring robust power and signal connectivity.

Accessories

Cable Clamps

Clamps are made from chemical-resistant PBT material. Holds cable between clamp piece and connector housing. Screws must be ordered separately for part numbers starting with 113.

T Handles

Handles are made from chemical-resistant PBT material. (2) screws and (2) nuts are required to attach each handle. Torque value 12 in-lbs / 1.4 Nm.

Powerpole Auxiliary Kits

Rated up to 30 amps and 600 volts. Kit includes (1) each black and red Standard Powerpole housing, (2) contacts, (2) zip cable straps, and (2) retaining pins.

1x4 Auxiliary Connector

Allows up to 4 auxiliary circuits at 20 amps and 200 volts each. Genderless design. Multiple pin lengths for sequencing. (2) Retaining pins required. Auxiliary Kits include (1) Auxiliary Housing, (2) Standard Length Pin Contacts, (2) Socket Contacts, (2) Retaining Pins and (1) Retaining Clip.

PPMX Auxiliary Connector

Allows up to 8 auxiliary circuits in SBE, SBO, & SBX housings. 4 auxiliary circuits per PPMX connector. Rated up to 7 amps and 300 volts per contact. Genderless design. (2) Retaining pins or (1) retaining clip required. Auxiliary Kits include (1) Auxiliary Housing, (2) Pin Contacts, and (2) Socket Contacts.

SBE Air Tubes

Fit into SBE housings to allow electrolyte circulation while charging the battery. Genderless design. (2) Spriol pins or (2) Retaining Pins required.

Retaining Pins

Used to hold accessories in the auxiliary port.

Zip Cable Straps

Used to secure auxiliary wires to the side of the main power cables.

Silver Plated Reducing Bushings

Use with contact part number 1339G1 to allow a smaller wire to be used with the connector. Electrical capability is derated with smaller wire.

Tooling Information

Insertion / Extraction Tools

* TP0001 and TM0001 tools require locators.

Auxiliary contacts (16-24 AWG) require an insertion tool. All wire gauges require an extraction tool for removal.
