Shielding Options: Silver or tin plated copper wire, bare copper or aluminum wire, foil tapes (80-100% coverage). Braiding designed to optimize braid angle, number of picks, wire gauge, and strands for attenuation, flexibility, and shielding effectiveness.
Jacket Materials:
- Polyurethane: Low temp rating, UV resistant, abrasion resistant, flexible (-65 to 85C).
- FEP: High temp rating, chemical resistant, moisture resistant, low smoke, low outgassing (-65 to 200C).
Braid Types:
- Round Braid: Lower material cost, most flexible.
- Woven Flat Braid: Lower contact resistance, better coverage, smoother conductor, increased connector retention.
