Semflex offers a large selection of microwave connectors designed for excellent electrical transitions and low VSWR. Hundreds of other connector designs are available for special requirements such as high power, swept 90 bends, environmental sealing, low intermod characteristics, and special plating.

Superior Cable Technology

Shielding Options: Silver or tin plated copper wire, bare copper or aluminum wire, foil tapes (80-100% coverage). Braiding designed to optimize braid angle, number of picks, wire gauge, and strands for attenuation, flexibility, and shielding effectiveness.

Jacket Materials:

  • Polyurethane: Low temp rating, UV resistant, abrasion resistant, flexible (-65 to 85C).
  • FEP: High temp rating, chemical resistant, moisture resistant, low smoke, low outgassing (-65 to 200C).

Braid Types:

  • Round Braid: Lower material cost, most flexible.
  • Woven Flat Braid: Lower contact resistance, better coverage, smoother conductor, increased connector retention.
  • Helical Flat Braid: Improved flexibility and shielding, increased phase stability vs flexure, lower radial torque resistance.

Shielding Construction:

  • Triple Shield: Woven flat braid, polyimide foil, round braid (>90 dB shielding).
  • Double Shield: Helical flat braid, round braid (>100 dB shielding).
  • Double Shield: Woven flat braid, round braid (>85 dB shielding).
  • Double Shield: Polyester foil, round braid (>85 dB shielding).
  • Double Shield: Round braid, round braid (>60 dB shielding).

High Performance Cable

LA Series Cable

Features: Best combination of low attenuation, phase stability, and mechanical performance. Excellent bend and crush resistance. Best choice for phase stability over temperature and flexure. Suitable for applications up to 28GHz.

Construction: Silver Plated Copper Center Conductor, Ultra Low Density Microporous PTFE Dielectric, Helically Wrapped Silver Plated Copper Braid, Silver Plated Copper Round Braid, Extruded FEP Jacket.

SW Series Cable

KW Series Cable

Features: Offers ultra low attenuation similar to rigid, corrugated, air dielectric cables, with higher power ratings and incredible flexibility. Copper clad aluminum conductor and soft polyurethane jacket allow for easy routing in tight spaces.
