Product Series Overview

HPI/LAI Series

The HPI/LAI Series offers the most customer-configurable cable assemblies, with options like phase matching and custom marking available upon request. These assemblies can be configured with high-performance HP cable or low-attenuation LA cable, and feature a wide selection of interfaces and cable jackets. All connectors are designed to meet MIL-C-39012 standards, ensuring proper cable fit and optimum transition. This series is suitable for applications up to 50GHz.

HPT Series

Designed for lab and production testing and high flexure applications up to 50GHz, the HPT Series is available with high-performance HP cable series. It features a heavy-duty, hot-molded rubber boot for exceptional strain relief and extended cable assembly life. Connectors are specially designed for excellent adhesion to the strain relief boot and meet MIL-C-39012 standards.

DKF Series

The DKF Series is available with HP190S cable and features a heavy-duty slip-on rubber boot for strain relief and extended lifespan. Connectors are designed for excellent adhesion to the boot and meet MIL-C-39012 standards. This series is available in standard lengths with straight male connectors for lab and production applications up to 18GHz.

SWI Series

The SWI Series offers a higher performance alternative to RG series cable assemblies, available with SW series cable. Designed for in-box or in-cabinet applications up to 18GHz, all interfaces meet MIL-C-39012 applicable industry standards.

KW Series

The KW Series cable uses copper clad aluminum center conductors for increased flexibility and microporous (expanded) PTFE dielectrics for increased power handling. Silver plated flat and round braids provide >85 dB shielding effectiveness and robust connector attachment. The soft, pliable polyurethane jacket is fire retardant and UV resistant, suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. This series offers ultra-low loss and high power ratings with superior flexibility compared to corrugated cables, ideal for tight installations up to 14GHz.

SW Series

The SW Series provides low loss cable solutions that bridge the gap between lower performance RG cables and high-performance cables. It employs microporous PTFE dielectrics and offers a simple double braid construction for exceptional electrical performance and simplified connector attachments. The SW060, SW086, and SW150 cable sizes can be assembled with standard semi-rigid or RG style crimp-on connectors. Suitable for RF and MW applications requiring interconnects for racks, cabinets, enclosures, miniature flex cable diameters, broad temperature extremes, and tight bends.

HP Series

The HP Series is a preferred interconnect cable for military and aerospace industries in ground, sea, and airborne systems, as well as test and measurement applications. It offers high performance, flexibility, and a wide range of precision connectors for applications up to 50GHz. The triple shield construction provides excellent pull-off force and resistance to radial torque, continuous flexing, and wide temperature extremes.

LA Series

The LA Series offers the best combination of low attenuation, phase stability, and mechanical performance. It is the best choice for phase stability over temperature and flexure. This series is ideal for applications with the most stringent mechanical, electrical, or environmental requirements.

SM Series

The SM Series offers a flexible alternative to semi-rigid cable, using the same connectors and assembly tooling as 0.086 and 0.141 versions, enabling cost savings and accelerated time to market. It is ideal for military ECM and guidance systems, commercial antennas, and communication applications where compact or densely-spaced coaxial interconnects are needed. The construction provides >100 dB shielding effectiveness.

Jacket Materials

  • FEP: High temperature rating (-65 to 200C), chemical resistant, moisture resistant, low smoke, low outgassing.
  • Polyurethane: Low temperature rating (-65 to 85C), UV resistant, abrasion resistant, flexible.

Shielding Types

  • Triple Shield: Woven flat braid, polyimide foil, round braid (>90 dB shielding effectiveness).
  • Double Shield: Helical flat braid, round braid (>100 dB shielding effectiveness).
  • Double Shield: Woven flat braid, round braid (>85 dB shielding effectiveness).
  • Double Shield: Polyester foil, round braid (>85 dB shielding effectiveness).
  • Double Shield: Round braid, round braid (>60 dB shielding effectiveness).
  • Single Shield: Round braid (>40 dB shielding effectiveness).

Dielectric Materials

Center Conductor Materials

  • Solid Conductors: Less resistance, lower loss, higher power.
  • Stranded Conductors: More flexible.
  • Silver Plating: Lowest loss, solderable.
  • Copper Clad: Cost effective, solderable.
  • Copper Clad Aluminum: Increased flexibility.

Average power ratings are based on VSWR of 1.0:1, at sea level and an ambient temperature of 25 C. Derating factors for temperature and altitude are available.
