Product Overview

The Johnson Patent Pending High Frequency End Launch connectors are designed to transition microwave energy from coaxial to planar transmission line structures, offering a unique solution for microwave engineers working with thin, high-frequency board substrates. These in-line connectors minimize reflections compared to right-angle transitions. They are ideal for applications such as cellular linear power amplifiers, broadband MMIC power amplifiers, microwave filters, mixers, combiners, wireless infrastructure antennas, DBS low-noise block down converters, remote sensing and metering, GPS antennas, phased array antennas, radar systems, high-speed routers and switches, automated test equipment, and RF identification tags. The connectors attach directly to coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission lines, and can be used on substrates as thin as 8 mils, operating at frequencies up to 26.5 GHz. They provide an economical alternative to other high-frequency designs, featuring a self-contained design without external mounting hardware.
