These cages are designed for 16Gbps Fibre Channel and 10Gbps Ethernet, offering full compatibility with SFP+ interfaces and mechanical backward compatibility with SFP. They feature 360 gaskets, spring fingers, and multiple ground-pin locations for superior EMI shielding, along with options for improved thermal management in high-wattage transceiver applications. Available in press-fit and PCI (1) mounting configurations, they accommodate various board thicknesses and assembly processes, including belly-to-belly mounting for efficient PCB real estate utilization. Light pipes are available for link status indication. Press-fit mounting options eliminate the need for soldering, reducing applied costs and avoiding solder-related issues. These cages are compliant with industry standards SFF-8432, SFF-8083, and SFF-8431.
