Product Overview
The Kona KA1 Series is an 8.5mm pitch, single-row connector system designed for high-reliability, high-power applications requiring durability. Featuring individually shrouded and recessed contacts with polarization and contact identification, these connectors ensure positive engagement through internal spring force. Both male and female contacts are plated with hard acid gold for enhanced performance and longevity. Cable contacts are solder style, compatible with 8AWG cable, and are removable/replaceable. Connector housings incorporate stainless steel screw-lock fixings with mate-before-lock functionality for ease of use. Options include thumbscrews, board/panel mount studs, and reverse fix styles. Metal backshells are available for mechanical, RF, and EMC protection.
