The Kona KA1 Series by Harwin is an 8.5mm pitch, single-row connector system designed for high-power applications requiring durability. These connectors feature individually shrouded and recessed contacts for enhanced reliability, polarization, and contact identification. The male contact provides spring force within the female contact for positive engagement. Both contacts utilize a hard acid gold plating for high performance and longevity. Cable contacts are solder style, compatible with 8AWG cable, and are removable/replaceable. Housings are equipped with stainless steel screw-lock fixings for secure mating and faster assembly. Options include thumbscrews, board/panel mount studs, and reverse fix styles. Metal backshells are available for mechanical, RF, and EMC protection.
