These cages are designed for 16Gbps Fibre Channel and 10Gbps Ethernet, offering full compatibility with SFP+ interfaces and mechanical backward compatibility with SFP. Available in single and multiport configurations, they feature robust EMI shielding with 360 gaskets, spring fingers, and multiple ground-pin locations. Options include press-fit and PCI (1) mounting for various board thicknesses and assembly processes. Advanced features like belly-to-belly mounting for space optimization, heat sinks for improved thermal management in high-wattage transceiver applications, and light pipes for link status indication are available. Press-fit mounting eliminates soldering, reducing applied costs and avoiding solder-related issues. These cages comply with industry standards SFF-8432, SFF-8083, and SFF-8431.
