Product Overview
Stewart Connector's Single and Multiport SFP+ Cages are engineered to meet Small Form Factor industry standards, supporting the increasing demand for I/O solutions in Fibre Channel and Ethernet applications requiring higher data rates. These cages are designed for 16Gbps Fibre Channel and 10Gbps Ethernet, offering full compatibility with SFP+ interfaces and mechanical backward compatibility with SFP. They feature 360 gaskets, spring fingers, and multiple ground-pin locations for enhanced EMI shielding. Options include press-fit and PCI (1) mounting for various board thicknesses and assembly processes, with belly-to-belly mounting capabilities for efficient PCB real estate utilization. Improved thermal management is achieved through optional heat sinks for higher wattage transceiver applications. Light pipes are available to indicate link status via on-board LEDs. Press-fit mounting eliminates soldering, reducing applied costs and avoiding solder-related issues. These cages are compliant with industry standards SFF-8432, SFF-8083, and SFF-8431. Applications span Networked Storage Systems, Fibre Channel and 10G Ethernet, Servers, Telecommunications, Switches, Storage, Routers, Network Interface Cards (NICs), and Data Center Networking.
