Product Overview
Stewart Connector's Single and Multiport SFP+ Cages are designed to meet Small Form Factor industry standards, supporting the growing demand for I/O solutions in Fibre Channel and Ethernet applications requiring increased performance with higher data rates. These cages support 16Gbps Fibre Channels and 10Gbps Ethernet. They are fully compatible with SFP+ interfaces and mechanically backwards compatible with SFP. Available in press-fit and PCI (1) versions, they accommodate various board thicknesses and assembly processes. Features include 360 gaskets, spring fingers, and multiple ground-pin locations for enhanced EMI shielding. Belly-to-belly mounting is supported on single and ganged cages for efficient PCB real estate utilization. Improved thermal management is achieved in higher wattage transceiver applications with heat sinks. Light pipes are available to indicate link status via PCB-mounted LEDs. Press-fit mounting options eliminate soldering, reducing applied cost and avoiding solder-related issues. Compliant with industry standards SFF-8432, SFF-8083, and SFF-8431, these cages are ideal for Networked Storage Systems, Fibre Channel and 10G Ethernet, Servers, Telecommunications, Switches, Storage, Routers, Network Interface Cards (NICs), and Data Center Networking.
