Product Overview

The Kycon 2013 Series PX Through Hole PLCC Socket is designed for electronic PC boards requiring the conversion of a .050" pitch chip carrier to a .100" x .100" grid for through-board applications. This socket accepts molded plastic chip carriers conforming to JEDEC Specifications MO-047 for square and MO-052 for rectangular configurations. It features visual and mechanical polarization for easy insertion, a closed bottom to prevent solder wicking, and molded-in stand-offs for flux residue removal. The open top design promotes cooler running of the chip carrier, and the sockets are compatible with automatic insertion machines. Certified by CSA/NRTL and UL, these sockets are RoHS and REACH Compliant.
