Product Overview
The Kycon 2015 Series SMPX Surface Mount PLCC Socket is designed for electronic PC boards requiring a socket with footprints compatible with common Plastic Leaded Chip Carriers. It accepts molded plastic chip carriers conforming to JEDEC Specifications MO-047 for square and MO-052 for rectangular configurations. Featuring visual and mechanical polarization for PXLCC insertion, an open frame design for ease of contact inspection and repair, and compatibility with high-temperature SMT soldering up to 230 C, this socket offers a low profile with less than .2 mated height. Optional PCB polarizing pegs are available, and the open top design allows for cooler running chip carriers. The socket is also compatible with automatic insertion machines and is CSA/NRTL Certified.
